The Advantage Communications Provincial Junior Mixed Curling Championships are continuing at the Crapaud Community Curling Club. After two days of play, only one team remains undefeated- the Owen Collier rink from Montague, in the double round robin Under 16 division, who have a 2-0 win-loss record. Cornwall and Crapaud’s Mitchell Schut team are 1-1 in the same division, while Alex Gallant of the Silver Fox Curling & Yacht Club in Summerside is 0-2. In games today, Schut beat Gallant 7-2, while Collier won over Gallant by a 9-3 score.

Four of the five teams have one loss in the round robin Under 21 section, with Danielle Collings and her Montague and Crapaud team, and Leslie Noye and his combined team from the Crapaud Community Curling Club, the Western Community Curling Club (Alberton), and the Charlottetown Curling Complex both at 2-1. Alan MacLean and James Dalton, whose teams both curl out of the Silver Fox and Cornwall clubs, are at 1-1, while Cornwall’s Kelly-Lynn Younker rink are 0-2.

Round robin/double round robin play wraps up on Saturday, with draws at 10 am and 2 and 6 pm. The finals go Sunday.
