Curl PEI would like to increase the number of qualified Master Learning Facilitators (MLFs) on PEI. MLFs are responsible for the delivery of National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) workshops to train Learning Facilitators (who then train the coaches). Curl PEI and the CCA will work together to ensure MLFs receive the proper training and support necessary to deliver the workshops.
An MLF should possess all or some of the following skills:
• Acquired teaching skills (facilitation style – recent university and/or education grads)
• Strong Communication (speaking and listening) skills
• Receptive to professional development and ongoing evaluation
• Bilingualism is an asset
• Current Coaching experience (within the last 3 years)
• Positive role model
• Ability to adapt/be flexible
• Demonstrated commitment to coaches and the coaching program
• Presentation skills
• Ability to interact with people of all ages
We are looking for an MLF for each of the following NCCP workshops: Club Coach: Youth; Club Coach; and Competition – Introduction. Here is a list of Master Learning Facilitator prerequisites:
Community Sport – Initiation “Club Coach: Youth”
• Current LF for Club Coach: Youth; or
• Course conductor in Levels NCCP; or
• Level 1 Certified coach; or
• Club Coach “Trained”
Community Sport – Ongoing Participation “Club Coach”
• Current LF for Club Coach; or
• Course conductor in Levels NCCP; or
• Level 2 Certified coach; or
• Competition Introduction Certified
Competition – Introduction
• Current LF for Competition – Introduction; or
• Course conductor in Levels NCCP; or
• Level 3 Certified coach
• Competition Introduction Certified
MLFs will receive payment for each workshop delivered.
