PEI’s Adam Casey, currently ranked 9th in the country among Canadian men’s teams on the CTRS ranking systen, and the first Island rink ever to be invited to a Grand Slam of Curling event (The National, in Sault Ste. Marie, starting on Thursday), have now confirmed that they will also be playing in their second Grand Slam competition, the Canadian Open in Yorkton Saskatchewan, from Dec. 9-14.
The Casey rink, which formed this season after Adam returned to the Island after playing with the Brad Gushue rink in St. John’s, has reached the final at three World Curling Tour events: the AMJ Campbell Shorty Jenkins Classic, the Dave Jones Molson Mayflower Cashspiel and the CookstownCash presented by Comco Canada Inc.
