The dates for the Maritime Masters Curling Championships have now been set. The event, for the top two men’s and top two women’s teams from the provincial Masters championships in all three Maritime provinces, will be held at the Highlander Curling Club in St. Andrews, Antigonish County, Nova Scotia, from March 5-8. Masters curlers are age 60 and over.
The PEI rinks eligible to compete are the Provincial Masters Men’s winner and runner-up – the Mel Bernard rink from the Silver Fox Curling and Yacht Club in Summerside, and the Clair Sweet team from the Maple Leaf Curling Club in O’Leary, respectively. On the women’s side, both the winning Shirley Berry foursome from the Charlottetown Curling Complex and the Cornwall Curling Club, along with the runner-up Diane MacKay team from Cornwall are invited to attend.
