In the first game of the day, Team PEI were taking on BC who were the only undefeated team left in
their pool. PEI was leading 6-5 going into the final end but wasn’t able to hold the lead and ended up losing 8-6. With the loss the team was tied with Alberta, and a tie-breaker game was required.
Coming off a close loss earlier in the day, the team was able to regroup and won in dramatic fashion by a score of 9-8. The teams were tied 8-8 in the final end and with PEI having the hammer, skip Tyler Smith made an outstanding draw to score 1 and propel them into the quarter-finals.
Team PEI takes on Manitoba at 4 pm Atlantic at the Prince George Curling Club.
