While Adam Casey waits patiently in Calgary, the other three members of his team, along with alternate Robert Campbell, are off to a slow start in their race to get to their first Brier pre-qualifier game, Thursday at 7 pm Calgary time, reporting that the first leg of their flight has been delayed four hours. Track their progress on Twitter at @teamadamcasey, @joshbarry1992, @Ansoncarmody, @robbiedoherty and @RJFCampbell The good news is that the weather is improving, so everyone is optimistic that they will make it on time.
8 pm update: a flight expected to land and then take off around 9 pm couldn’t land, so they may be driving to Halifax and looking for a flight.
9 pm update: leaving Charlottetown Airport for Halifax in a rented car.
Midnight update: no rentals available, so driving Halifax in their own vehicle (without winter tires), but they do have a ticket on a flight.
7:40 am update. On a plane, en route to the Brier!
