PEI Women’s Curling Team gets 1st Games win

Team PEI Women, skipped by Kaleigh Mackay, picked up their first win at the Canada Games last night, beating the Yukon 9-3 in eight ends. PEI got out of the gate fast with a deuce in the first end, a steal of one in the second, and a pair of deuces in four and five to lead 7-1 at the 5th end break. PEI plays BC at 2 and Nunavut at 8 pm today. The late game, against Nunavut, will be livestreamed at http://sportscanada.tv/canadagames/index.php/week2/womens-curling
