CALGARY – It was a good day for Adam Casey and his teammates on Thursday.
Second stone Anson Carmody releases a shot while lead Robbie Doherty and third stone Josh Barry handle the sweeping. The action took place during the final game of the P.E.I. Tankard provincial men’s curling championship.
Casey, third stone Josh Barry, second stone Anson Carmody, lead Robbie Doherty, fifth player Robert Campbell and coach Lincoln Peters started the day off with an 8-4 victory over New Brunswick’s Jeremy Mallais in the morning draw, and then outlasted Jamie Koe of the Northwest Territories 9-5 in afternoon action.
The two wins improved P.E.I.’s record to 4-6 (won-lost) in the Canadian men’s curling championship. Casey and Co. will close out the round robin against Manitoba’s Reid Carruthers on Friday morning.
