PEI’s John Likely men’s rink, and Suzanne Birt women’s team, along with the Brad Gushue men’s rink from St. John’s, which includes PEI native Brett Gallant, are the only undefeated teams in the event, and have advanced to today’s championship round at the Dave Jones Memorial Cashspiel at the Mayflower Curling Club in Halifax. Birt, has earned a bye to the 12 noon semi-final round, while the others are in the quarter-finals, which began at 8:45 this morning. The finals go at 3.
