The semi-finals are underway at the Dave Jones Memorial Cashspiel at the Mayflower Curling Club in Halifax, with PEI’s Suzanne Birt women’s team playing the Theresa Breen rink from Nova Scotia, and the Brad Gushue team from St. John’s, which includes PEI native Brett Gallant, facing Bluenoser Chad Stevens. The other semi-final matchups feature Sven Michel, who eliminated PEI’s John Likely rink with a 7-1 win in the quarter-finals, take on Stuart Thompson, and Jill Brothers play Lauren Gray.
