Nine teams entered in Under 13 Open Curling Ch’ships at the Silver Fox

The Silver Fox Curling and Yacht Community Complex in Summerside is the host for the 2017 KFC Under 13 Open Championship, from March 10-12. The “Open” format means that any combination of girls and/or boys may be on a team. Nine teams, from five PEI curling facilities are taking part. 

Last year’s champions were the Rachel MacLean rink from the Cornwall Curling Club, who won all seven of their games, stealing the last end to edge their clubmates, the Chase MacMillan team, by a 4-3 score in the final. These teams have moved up to the U16 age category.
