SUMMERSIDE – Curling Canada, in partnership with the City of Summerside and the Summerside Remembrance Day Organizing Committee are preparing to pause and to pay respect to our Veterans by holding the annual Remembrance Day Service in the midst of hosting the Home Hardware Road To The Roar Curling Pre-Trials event.
“Our team at Credit Union Place understands and respects the importance of the Remembrance Day Service and will work diligently to provide a smooth transition from curling to the Remembrance of our Veterans and then back to curling.” said JP Desrosiers Director of Community Services.
In honor of our Veterans, Curling Canada and the City of Summerside will be inviting those attendees of this year’s Remembrance Day Service to the draw that will follow the services. Tickets will be distributed to patrons as they enter Credit Union Place’s Eastlink Arena on Saturday November 11th, 2017.
The doors of Eastlink Arena at Credit Union Place will open at 9:50am with the annual Remembrance Day Service set to begin at 10:40am and the moment of silence happening at 11:00am.
Curling will reconvene at 1:30 pm and will feature the 1st and 2nd place men’s and women’ teams.
