Two PEI teams, skipped by Robyn MacPhee and Veronica Smith, are among the 10 women’s teams taking part in the WFG Jim Sullivan Classic cashspiel at the eight sheet Thistle-St. Andrews Curling Club in Saint John New Brunswick this weekend. There are no Island rinks entered in the 18 team men’s section.
The event is in memory of New Brunswick curler Jim Sullivan, who struggled with mental illness.
Team MacPhee won their opening game 5-2 over Moncton’s Sylvie Robichaud, while Smith beat Heidi Hanlon of Saint John 8-4;
