Registrations open for Future Scotties/Future Tankard event with modified format

Future

Registration for the Future Scotties and Future Tankard is now open on a first-come, first-served basis, with space limited to five junior women’s and five junior men’s teams. The event, for junior curlers who may one day participate in the Tankard or Scotties provincial men’s and women’s championships, is a bit different from past years. It will match one junior team with one team playing in the combined men’s and women’s championship (January 3-7 in Cornwall) for the on-ice opening ceremonies, as well as the banquet on January 3rd,  but, instead of playing games, the Future teams will participate in two camp-style days organized by Adam Casey at the Charlottetown Curling Club on Jan. 6 & 7.  Coaches are encouraged to attend the camp days with their team. The fee for this event is $100 for a team of four with a coach (additional players are $20).
