PEI’s Team Veronica Smith, which includes third Jane DiCarlo, second stone Sabrina Smith, and lead Whitney Jenkins, are in the final at the Dave Jones Cashspiel at the Mayflower Curling Club in Halifax this afternoon, following a lopsided 9-0 semi-final win in five ends over the Tanya Hilliard foursome from Halifax, aided by a five-point fourth end. Team Smith will play the winner of the other semi-final between three-time defending champ Jill Brothers and another Halifax team, skipped by Kristen MacDiarmid. The men’s and women’s finals go at 3 pm Atlantic. Team Smith finished round robin play with a 2-2 win-loss record.
