The 7th annual Masters Plus Bonspiel wrapped up Friday afternoon at the Cornwall Curling Club, with 16 teams from all three Maritime Provinces taking part, including eight teams from the host club. The four-team winners’ circle included the Tom Dunn, Vince Fisher, and Bryan Sutherland teams from Cornwall finishing 1st, 3rd, and 4th respectively, along with the George Anderson foursome from Sackville NB, who finished second. A point system was used to determine the winners without having a playoff round, and only three points separated the top four teams in this closely-fought competition. Masters Plus teams have one player (the “Plus”) who is age 55 or over, and three who are age 60 and over.
