Team PEI curling team arrives at the Special Olympics Winter Games in Thunder Bay, Ont.

Thirty-eight athletes from Team PEI are competing in the Special Olympics Winter Games in Thunder Bay, Ont. this week, starting with the opening ceremonies on Tuesday. Island athletes are competing in seven events including 5-pin bowling, cross-country skiing, curling, figure skating, floor hockey, snowshoeing and speed skating.
