The Brayden Snow and Katie Shaw rinks won the Syngenta 2020 P.E.I. under-18 curling championships at the Western Community Curling Club in Alberton recently.
Snow and his team from the Charlottetown Curling Club defeated two-time defending-champion Mitchell Schut and his rink from Cornwall 5-3 in the boys’ title game. The Shaw team, out of the Cornwall Curling Club, defeated their clubmates, the Rachel MacLean foursome, also by a 5-3 score, in the girls’ final.

The Snow and Shaw rinks earned the right to represent P.E.I. at the Canadian under-18 championships in Sudbury, Ont., but Curling Canada announced Tuesday that the event was postponed indefinitely due to coronavirus (COVID-19). The nationals were scheduled for April 20 to 25.
