Team Schut finishes 2nd at TSA Jr. Cashspiel in Saint John

It was a pretty good weekend for Cornwall’s Team Mitchell Schut at the TSA Junior Cashspiel at the Thistle-St.-Andrews Curling Club in Saint John NB, winning all three of their qualifying games, plus their Semi-Final against Josh Nowlan and his New Brunswick team. However, they didn’t pull off the sweep, dropping their final to Team MacIsaac of Truro. MacIsaac was up one coming home without hammer with two counters. With their final shot Team Schut, who won the Oak Island Junior Cashspiel in Chester NS, the previous weekend, tried to angle-raise one of their stones to the button but they were a bit wide and it didn’t make it to the centre of the rings.
