The Katie Shaw rink from the Cornwall Curling Club are the Pepsi Provincial Junior Women’s Champions, after defeating their clubmates the Rachel MacLean foursome by a 6-1 score Sunday afternoon at the Silver Fox Curling Club in Summerside. The first half of the game was played very conservatively, with 3 blank ends and the teams scoring only one point each. Team Shaw took over the scoring in the second half, stealing the next four ends, with singles in ends six, eight and nine and a deuce in seven, to put the game out of reach for MacLean, who had won two of the Modified Triple Knockout sections while Shaw won the other section and both Championship Round games.
