Reminder: Fun teams and those who want to try curling invited to check out FREE outdoor curling in Stratford PEI Feb 27-28 in celebration of Curling Day in Canada

Curling Day in Canada is coming up on February 27. In celebration of this event, a group, in partnership with the Town of Stratford, will be hosting two days of fun, free outdoor curling at the Pondside Park outdoor rink, 15 Stratford Road, on Saturday, February 27th and Sunday, February 28th from 10 am to 5 pm. Open to all ages. Helpers will be on hand both days to allow people to try the sport in a fun outdoor setting.

Organizers are looking for fun teams for free outdoor curling (4-end games) on both days from 10 am to 5 pm. Open to all including junior, senior, mixed, stick etc.

They are also looking for anyone interested in trying curling to drop by!

Format/schedule for Curling Days in Stratford at Pondside Park Outdoor Rink, 15 Keppoch Road, Stratford:

Saturday, February 27th (10 am – 5 pm)

Sheet A

Fun 4-end games from 10 am – 5 pm

Sheet B

Learn to Curl – Children/Families 10 am – noon

Learn to Curl – Adults noon – 2 pm

Learn to Curl – Children/Families 2 pm – 5 pm

Sunday, February 28th (10 am – 5 pm)

There is no charge to participate. Open to all ages and equipment will be provided. Children are encouraged to bring along a bike or hockey helmet for safety.
