The Stu Sells Toronto Tankard is taking place at the High Park Club starting Friday morning, with both a men’s and a women’s event.

24 men’s teams are competing for their share of a $50,000 purse, including the Jason Gunnlaugson team, which includes PEI’s Adam Casey, and Team Gushue, with Charlottetown’s Brett Gallant. Scores at https://www.curlingzone.com/event.php?eventid=7023&eventtypeid=81&view=Scores#1

The women’s event also has 24 teams, playing for a $36,000 purse, and includes Korea’s Eunjung Kim foursome, coached by PEI’s Peter Gallant, along with Sudbury’s Isabelle Ladouceur foursome which includes Stratford PEI’s Katie Shaw, who is attending Laurentian University this year and playing with this Northern Ontario team. In their last event, the KW Fall Classic, they made it to the semi-finals, losing to event winner Kerry Galusha, who is also in this event. Also entered is Altona Manitoba’s MacKenzie Zacharias, with New Dominion PEI’s Lauren Lenentine, warming up for the Pre-Trials in Liverpool in a few weeks.
