Robbie Doherty and his team from the Cornwall Curling Club won this year’s edition of the Island Petroleum cashspiel, which wrapped up Sunday at the Silver Fox in Summerside. Team Doherty was in a tight contest against Tyler Smith and his team in the final, but pulled off a steal in the 8th end to win the $1800 first-place cheque by a 4-3 score.
