The “C” finals of the modified triple knockout draw are set for 9 am Sunday at the PEI Pepsi Junior Curling Championships, and the “A” and “B” section winners Ella Lenentine and Mitchell Schut, both from the Cornwall Curling Club, are still undefeated and will be in the “C” finals. If either team wins their section they will win their event, and the playoff round will not be required.
After winning the B final against Madalyn Easter this afternoon, Lenentine then beat the Sydney Carver team 9-4 this evening to go 5-0 win-loss record and advance to the junior women’s C final, against the Rachel MacLean team, at 9 am Sunday. Maclean beat Madalyn Easter 9-5 this evening to advance to the C final.
Mitchell Schut and his team continue to dominated the junior men’s section, having played the other four teams in the event. After winning over Brayden Snow in the B final, Schut went on to win 10-4 against Team Dalton to advance. Snow defeated Team Rochford 10-4 and will be facing clubmate Schut in the junior men’s C final, at 9am Sunday.
