Ford Men’s – A Golden Anniversary on Ice

(CCA) You are cordially invited to the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Ford Men’s World Curling Championship, April 4 – 12, 2009 at the Moncton Coliseum.

The guests of honour will include the most accomplished curlers in the game today. Moncton is the perfect setting, so rich in memories of some of the most influential moments in curling history.

There’s Rick Folk’s 1980 Silver Broom victory shattering the “LaBonte Curse”. The “Al Hackner Shot” in the 1985 Brier that for many still stands as one of the most dramatic ever. And, in an experiment that truly revolutionized the game, the introduction of the “Four Rock Rule” at the Moncton 100 CashSpiel.

Maritime curling purists who want to see modern history in the making from the best seats in the house should make their move fast. (After October 31st, full event passes will no longer be available in the end zones.)
