PEI’s Robyn MacPhee stole one in the extra end to win 8-7 over the Northwest Territories in their Scotties opener in Victoria BC. MacPhee made a difficult double angle-raise to lie one, and then protected it with a perfect guard. The NWT skip attempted an in-off on a rock to roll to the button, but it was wide and she didn’t get the roll. PEI plays New Brunswick in the 11 pm Atlantic draw.
