KFC 12 and Under starts Friday morning

The KFC Provincial age 12 and Under Curling Championships get underway Friday at the Montague Curling Club, with six boys teams, including the defending champion Tyler Smith rink from Cornwall, along with an equal number of girls teams, taking part.

Both divisions play round robin competitions, with girls draws at 10 am and 2 pm Friday, and 9 am and 1 and 5 pm on Saturday. The boys play at noon and 4 pm on Friday, and 11 am and 3 and 7 pm on Saturday. The top two teams from both divisions advance to best of three final rounds on Sunday and, if necessary, Monday. Draws Sunday are at 10 am, and 1 and 4 pm.  Monday draws, if needed, go at 1 and 4 pm. Games will move up if there are no tiebreakers, meaning that the best of three could start as early as 10 am Sunday.

Live scoring will be available at peicurling.com/12andunder.
