Charlottetown Curling Club uses ScreenScape to Develop CCC-TV

Screen Displays to be used to speak to club guests, sell corporate sponsorships.

Charlottetown, PE (PRWEB) November 19, 2009 — The Charlottetown Curling Club announced today that it is launching CCC-TV, an on-location news, information, and entertainment service powered by ScreenScape, an Internet-based digital signage solution.

General Manager Rob Warren spoke for the Charlottetown Curling Club, “We started noticing a number of golf clubs using ScreenScape and we thought it would be the perfect tool for us. The Charlottetown Curling Club has a steady flow of traffic throughout the winter months and hosts a large variety of events. We are constantly in search of innovative ways to speak to these guests and for ways to sell corporate sponsorships. ScreenScape helps us do both and it works particularly well for us because it is both cost-effective and easy-to-use.”

CCC-TV regularly features curling video, local news feeds, and an updated community calendar. The new service is open for business, says Warren. “We have used the ScreenScape Community to promote our memberships and our events in other venues in our region. Now we can use the ScreenScape Community to give others, including community groups and local and national businesses, a way to promote their events, or their products and services on location in our club. Service organizations like ours have to be entrepreneurial if we want to be able to continue to grow the quality of our programs. At this price ($9.99 a month) this is something the curling community should get behind. If each club across the country was a ScreenScape member we would form our own media network that could attract some very serious interest from national marketers. That’s good for our clubs and for curling in general.”

Mark Hemphill, ScreenScape founder and Chief Product Officer welcomed the Charlottetown Curling Club to the ScreenScape Community, “ScreenScape-powered screen displays are quickly gaining popularity among service and sporting organizations across North America. Golf courses, bowling alleys, aquatic facilities, and now curling clubs are all now connecting through the power of Venue Networking. It’s satisfying to see that our network is helping these organizations. As the ScreenScape Community grows and more of these organizations become more interconnected we will be sure to see new opportunities unfold for these venues and for their advertising partners.”
