The Labatt Tankard Provincial Men’s Curling Championship heads to Prince County for the 2009-2010 season, with the eight winners from the Open Playdowns, January 21-24 at the Silver Fox Curling and Yacht Club in Summerside, advancing to the Final Eight portion, February 2-7 at the Western Community Curling Club in Alberton.
Entry deadline is December 24, 2009. Entry fee is $50 per player, plus a $25 per player CCA Competitor’s fee. Enter online at PEICurling.com.
Last year’s champions, the rink of Rod MacDonald, Kevin Champion, Andrew Robinson, and Mark O’Rourke, with fifth player Peter MacDonald, and coach Pat Aylward, are back to defend their title.
The Labatt Tankard champions will advance to the Tim Hortons Brier, March 6-14 in Halifax.
