PEI in 1st place at Scotties after win over Manitoba

PEI’s Kathy O’Rourke rink were down two coming home against Manitoba, but scored three points in the final end for a 7-6 win, carried live on TSN,  when Manitoba skip Jill Thurston did not make her final shot, and PEI fourth stone Erin Carmody had the opportunity to throw away her final stone. This moved PEI, with a 4-1 win-loss record, into sole possession of first place at the Scotties in Sault Ste, Marie, after this afternoon’s draw. Four other teams Team Canada, Alberta, Alberta, and BC-  also have one loss, against three wins.
