MacDonald 4-5, Berry 2-8 at Canadian Seniors

The Peter MacDonald rink from Charlottetown is 4-5 going into the final day of round robin play at the World Financial Group Canadian Senior Curling Championships in Ottawa, after losing  8-7 to Nova Scotia’s Brian Rafuse rink in the afternoon draw in their lone Thursday game.
Other members of the PEI team are Peter Gallant, Rod MacDonald and Doug MacGregor.
Ontario, Alberta and Saskatchewan share the lead at 7-2. PEI plays Ontario and Newfoundland and Labrador  today.
In the women’s division, the Shirley Berry rink from Cornwall/Charlottetown lost both their Thursday games, 8-6 against Nova Scotia (Jocelyn Nix) in the morning draw, and  6-5 in an extra end in Thursday night’s game against Ontario’s Dale Curtis rink. BC tops the women’s standings at 8-2, followed by Northern Ontario and Saskatchewan at 7-3, and New Brunswick and Ontario at 6-4.
The Berry squad will play its final game this afternoon against Newfoundland and Labrador.
Other members of the rink are Sandy Hope, Shelley Ebbett and Arleen Harris.
