MacLure, rinkmates finish 1-8 at European curling championships (Guardian)

Summerside native Miles MacLure and his Netherlands rink finished 1-8 at the 2010 European curling championships in Switzerland and lost his chance for a berth in the world curling championships in Saskatchewan in April.

MacLure, with skip Rob Vilain, third Brian Doucet and lead Erik Dijkstra, had to win three games to qualify for the worlds, but came up short, losing its final game 8-5 to Germany on Thursday, and finished 10th in the 26-team field.
