The Labatt Tankard provincial men’s curling championship is set for the Silver Fox from February 3-8, with the winning  team advancing to the Tim Hortons Brier, March 5-13 in London Ontario.

A “warmup” spiel for the event was held over the weekend at the Fox. The event final was a repeat of last year’s Tankard final, with the Rod MacDonald rink beating the Robert Campbell foursome.

Another warmup event for both the Tankard and the Scotties, the Mark’s Work Wearhouse Warmup, will take place this weekend at the Charlottetown Curling Club. The Scotties Tournament of Hearts provincial women’s curling championship goes Jan. 27-31 at the Cornwall Curling Club, with the winners moving on to the national event, February 19-27 at the Charlottetown Civic Centre.
