CORNWALL – Suzanne Birt of Charlottetown defeated defending champion Kathy O’Rourke 7-4 at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts provincial womens curling championship Friday night to remain undefeated after two days of play in the six team, triple knockout event.

Both rinks won earlier in the day, resulting in the showdown between the Charlottetown clubmates and pre-tourney favorites in the A final.
