With the 2011 Scotties Tournament of Hearts coming to Charlottetown, the Sandra Schmirler Foundation is raising funds for the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (QEH NICU), on Sandra Schmirler Day, February 20 at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Charlottetown.
Sandra Schmirler Day was created in 2001 as a legacy to Sandra Schmirler in recognition and celebration of her love of family.
The Sandra Schmirler Foundation will match every dollar raised for the QEH NICU, up to $50,000.
Donations are now being accepted and will end with the marking of Sandra Schmirler Day on February 20 during the Island Kitchen Party, with “Boys in the Kitchen” in the HeartStop Lounge beginning at 5 pm.
