CHARLOTTETOWN – The young guns of the Scotties Tournament of Hearts are headed into another playoff showdown at the Charlottetown Civic Centre.

Rachel Homan’s Ontario champs from Ottawa — the second-youngest team to ever compete at the Canadian women’s curling championship, and the youngest to ever reach the playoffs — rolled to a 13-5 win over Nova Scotia’s Heather Smith-Dacey on Saturday afternoon in the Page playoff three-four game.

With the victory, Homan, third Emma Miskew, second Alison Kreviazuk and lead Lisa Weagle (average age, just over 22) move onto the semifinal later today, beginning at 5 p.m. (all times AST, TSN) against Saskatchewan’s Amber Holland.

The semifinal winner will take on three-time defending champion Jennifer Jones and Team Canada in the final on Sunday (7:30 p.m. AST, TSN).
