LOL at fake Kevin Martin tweeter (Edmonton Journal)

[Editor’s note: As we did for the Scotties, PEICurling.com will be displaying Brier-related tweets, including those of @fakekevinmartin, your favorite curling columnists, and tweeting curlers such as Brad Jacobs (@TeamBradJacobs) of Northern Ontario, in real-time on the righthand sidebar of PEICurling.com during the Tim Hortons Brier, which gets underway on Saturday. ]

EDMONTON – It’s one thing to post as an imposter on Twitter and get away with it, but it’s completely another to admit it and keep your followers thoroughly entertained.

That’s exactly what @fakekevinmartin appears to be doing for Canadian fans of the roaring game as the knowledgeable cyberspace curling fanatic has kept readers amused for the past few weeks, right through the recent Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Charlottetown and now heading into the Tim Hortons Brier.

He certainly has kept members of the actual Kevin Martin rink — which left Thursday for the Brier in London, Ont., — in stitches throughout the run with such posts as: “Rachel Homan reminds me of a young me. Big weight, big forehead, sexy as hell.” Or, “Any one out there know the best way to polish two Olympic medals? Yeah, I didn’t think so.”

The fake Kevin Martin leaves no stone unturned as he sweeps his followers off their feet and ROFLing (rolling on floor laughing).
