PEI skip Eddie MacKenzie weighed in on suggestions an expanded Brier format might include low-finishers from the previous year’s event having to play their way into the big show.
“I think that every province should be able to get to the Brier, so I think if they want to do something like that they should switch to 13 or 14 teams… last year’s winner included, they have time to add draws in the morning.”
