PEi’s Eddie MacKenzie rink has picked up their first win at the 2011 Brier, in draw 9, stealing two ends in an 8-5 win over New Brunswick’s James Grattan team this morning, to improve their record to 1-5. BC’s Jim Cotter rink also has just one win, against 4 losses.
In other games this morning, Manitoba’s Jeff Stoughton rink remains undefeated, at 6-0, after a 10-4 win over the Territories (Jamie Koe at 2-4). Alberta’s Kevin Martin beat Nova Scotia’s Shawn Adams 9-7 to remain in second place with a 5-1 record. Adams is 2-4, tied with New Brunswick and Quebec.
In the final game this morning, Northern Ontario (3-3) beat Quebec by an 8-5 score.
PEI plays Saskatchewan tonight.
