PEI falls to 2-6 at Canadian Postal Curling championship

PEI’s Bobby Cameron rink lost 9-3 to BC, and 6-2 to Saskatchewan Wednesday to drop to  a 2-6 win-loss record at the 45th Canadian Postal Employees Curling Classic, being played at New Brunswick’s Miramichi Curling Club. Other members of the Island team  are Eldon Kilbride, Mike Bernard, and Regan Kenny.

Alberta and Nova Scotia lead the round robin with 7-1 win-loss records. Northern Ontario handed the Alberta rink its first loss today, by an 8-6 score. Four teams – Northern Ontario, Manitoba, Ontario, and New Brunswick,all sport 5-3 records, while BC is an even 4-4, and Sask. is 3-5. Joining PEI at 2-6 are Quebec and Nfld./Labrador, while the Territories are 0-8.

PEI finishes round robin play against the Territories and New Brunswick on Thursday.

The finals go Saturday at 1:30 pm.
