SUMMERSIDE – Credit Union Place will host the best curlers the sport has to offer as the Grand Slam of Curling comes to Summerside in April.
Many of the world’s best men’s and women’s rinks will be taking part in the Grey Power Players’ Championship Grand Slam event April 10 to 15.
J.P. Desrosiers, event development officer for the City of Summerside, said the event is confirmed, and it’s just a matter of working out the details.
“The event is coming to Summerside,” Desrosiers said. “The sponsor of the series of curling events is Capital One.”
“We’re hosting the Grey Power Players’ Championship, which is the only event that involves both men’s and women’s curling at the same time,” Desrosiers said.
Desrosiers said who will be competing, and information about ticket sales are still being worked out.
