Update on club signup nights

The Montague Curling Club are holding a Registration Night and Barbecue Social on Thursday, October 20 from 6:30pm – 9:30pm. The evening includes free food from the BBQ, munchies, and an opportunity to register for the season.

Montague are also giving free curling lessons Monday Oct. 24 through Thursday Oct. 27 from 6:30 to 8:30 each night. This is your chance to try curling for free. Curling fans are invited to come out and watch some of the best curlers in the Maritimes take to the ice Oct. 28 to 30 for the Atlantic Curling Tour’s Gahan Brewery Cashspiel.

The Crapaud Community Curling Club are holding an Open House, including registration, and a tour of their extensive clubhouse renovations, on Friday Oct. 21, beginning at 7 pm. New and returning members who pay their dues on that night will receve a 10% discount.

Crapaud are also offering free evening curling for anyone who is interested in learning to curl, November 1-4 from 6:30-9:30pm.  Experienced instructors will be available to help and answer questions. Registration night for Crapaud’s after school junior program is Nov. 2 beginning at 7 pm, and evening and after school curling starts Nov. 7. Everyone is welcome to participate in the Harvey’s Kick-off Funspiel, Nov. 25 and 26.

The Silver Fox Curling and Yacht Club in Summerside is holding Junior (age 20 and under) registration on Saturday, Oct. 22 from 10 am to 12 noon. Click for registration form. The Senior Warmup spiel for teams age 50 and over from all clubs goes Oct. 28 and 29, while the Summerside Chrysler Dodge opening bonspiel, taking place Friday evening Nov. 4, and all day Saturday the 5th, is open to curlers from other clubs, as well.

The Maple Leaf Curling Club in O’Leary is hosting a social/registration afternoon at the club on Sunday October 23rd from 2-4 pm. New and prospective members are invited to come in and inquire about curling, or sign up for Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday night curling, as well as other curling events. Snacks will be provided.

Registration nights are now over at the Cornwall Curling Club. Returning members who have not yet signed up are asked to contact the club immediately to ensure that your regular curling drawtime is reserved.
