The Boys (Braeden Moskowy and Chris Shille from Jamie Koe’s rink) took four points in the second end and stole a single in the third to grab an early lead in the  inaugural Babes vs. Boys showdown on Sunday afternoon at the Calgary Curling Club. The Babes, which consisted of PEI native Erin Carmody, spending her first winter in Calgary with the Crystal Webster rink, and Jenna Loder from the Cathy Overton-Clapham foursome, scored in the opening end and picked up singles in the fourth and fifth ends of the six end two-on-two game, but came out on the short side of a 5-3 final score.
