Five PEI men’s rinks in Atlantic Curling Tour Ch’ship, starting tomorrow in Moncton

The results website is now up at www.playdowns.com/nbca/event.php?id_cmp=32 for the Atlantic Curling Tour championship, which gets underway on Friday and wraps up on Sunday at Curl Moncton’s Beausejour club. The event features the top teams from the Tour, as determined by standings as of December 19, including five PEI teams, skipped by Rod MacDonald (2nd place), Mike Gaudet (3rd place), Robert Campbell (5th), Robert Shaw (8th), and Brett Gallant (14th). Five rinks are entered from New Brunswick, including Tour leader Mike Kennedy, and Terry Odishaw, who finished fourth. Nova Scotia has six entries, including Mark Dacey and Doug MacKenzie, at 6th and 7th place, respectively.

The event features a round robin format, with four pools of four teams each. Eight qualifiers will then advance to the quarter-finals, Sunday morning at 9. The semis follow at noon, and the final starts at 3 pm.
