The Canadian Winter Youth Olympics Curling team, which includes PEI curler Emily Gray, lost in an extra end to Sweden this afternoon, with a 6-5 final score. Earlier today, Team Canada beat Team Russia by a 7-1 score.
Canada now has a 3-2 win-loss record in their pool, tied with Russia. Sweden and Japan lead the pool at 4-1. Team USA leads the other pool, undefeated at 5-0, while Switzerland is 4-1, and the Czech Republic is 3-2.

Canada finishes up round robin play on Tuesday, against Japan and Germany. The medal round is on Wednesday, followed by the Mixed Doubles competition. In that event, teams of two curlers will be chosen, based on a formula involving results from the regular mixed event. Players from the same country will not play together. The Mixed Doubles medal round goes Sunday.
