Tankard
The playoff round is set at the PEI Tankard, being played at the Cornwall Curling Club, with the top four seeds going into the event advancing to the Page games tonight at 6:30, and all teams coming from the Charlottetown Curling Club. The final two qualifiers were selected this afternoon, with Robert Campbell scoring 3 points in an extra end to beat John Likely 10-7, and Brett Gallant, aided by a second end triple, winning 8-6 over Jamie Newson. Rod MacDonald qualified first on Friday, while Mike Gaudet beat Gallant on Saturday to grab the second spot in the playoffs.

Tonight’s Page games see MacDonald and Gaudet face off in the 1-2 game, with the winner advancing directly to the final, Mondey evening at 6:30, and the loser taking on the winner of tonight’s 3-4 game between Gallant and Campbell in the semi-final at 1:30 pm on Monday, with the winner of that game advancing to the final.

The PEI Tankard winner will advance to the Tim Hortons Brier, March 3-11 in Saskatoon.
