PEI rinks both 2-3 after Matters picks up win over BC

PEI’s Alex Matters rink edged BC’s Josh Hozack rink 8-7 in an extra end this afternoon at the M&M Meat Shops Canadian Juniors in Napanee Ont., to improve their win-loss record to 2-3.

Meanwhile, PEI’s Sarah Fullerton foursome lost 9-4 to BC’s Kesa Van Osch team, and are also at 2-3, following a win yesterday for the PEI women, and a win over the Northwest Territories for both PEI teams in their opening draw on Saturday.

The PEI teams play Ontario and the Yukon tomorrow.

Alberta leads both the men’s and women’s events, with 5-0 win-loss records.
