The 2012 Provincial Mixed Curling Championship takes place March 16-19 at the Silver Fox Curling & Yacht Club in Summerside. Entries close February 23, and must be made online at PEICurling.com. Entry fee is $50 per player, plus a CCA competitor’s card fee of $35 per player per season (payable with your first event entry of the season). Entries to-date may be viewed at the event website, PEICurling.com/mixed, and event results will be available at LiveCurling.com.

In last year’s PEI Mixed final game, former Canadian Junior champion Brett Gallant and his rink stole a single in the final end to edge the defending Canadian Mixed champions, the Robert Campbell foursome, by a 5-4 score. Gallant, with teammates Erin Carmody, Anson Carmody, and Michelle Mackie, went undefeated in the double knockout event.

The winning team from this year’s PEI Mixed Championship will advance to the Canadian Mixed, November 15-24, 2012 at the Town of Mount Royal Curling Club in Montreal.
