Scotties getting underway in Red Deer (report by Nancy Cameron for Ocean 100)

PEI’s Kim Dolan rink are “on the ground” in Red Deer for the 2012 Scotties Tournament of Hearts.

Team member Nancy Cameron posted the following update on the Ocean 100 Facebook page today:

Nancy Cameron: Well HELLO from Red Deer! Thought you might have some Curling followers that would be interested in hearing a little “Scoop” from the “Big Show” in Red Deer (that is what we curlers call the Scotties Tournament of Hearts). Today is a busy day….Team Practice at the Arena at 10 am! We can hardly wait to take our first slide! Followed by Team Meeting with the Canadian Curling Association and then the fun begins with the Ford Hot Shots Competition 🙂 This is a skill based competition with the Winner walking away with a 2 year lease on a Ford Vehicle….Then back to the Hotel for a special Dinner sponsored by Kruger….After Dinner we then head to the Arena where each team will be introduced….then back to hotel for a much needed nights sleep….HUGE DAY tomorrow! Stay tuned 🙂
