Silver Fox receives CCA grant for new condenser (CCA)

The Canadian Curling Association (CCA) announced their 2011-2012 Curling Assistance Program grant recipients today, funded by profits from certain CCA curling championship events. The Silver Fox Curling & Yacht Club in Summerside was the lone PEI recipient, receiving a grant for $19,925 to fund a new condenser unit for their ice plant.

Twenty-five successful applicants have received confirmation of grant money totaling $299,685.21.

The Curling Assistance Program targets projects designed to grow the sport at the community level and/or to assist capital projects critical to the operation and health of the CCA’s membership.

Details on the 2012-13 funding cycle, including the Curling Assistance Program guidelines and application form, will be made available by the fall of 2012.
